My hypothesis on tank maturity and coral health

I’ve seen many posts about how people had corals in their tank, but the corals didn’t start to take off until the 1 year mark. I also read that corals deaths diminish on the 1 year mark too.

What do you think causes this? I know it’s just speculations from me, but could an increase in copepods and phytoplankton benefit corals that would otherwise starve or shrink?

? If we had all the answers we would provide them. U can have perfect parameters. Perfect flow and filtration. Add 2 diffrent corals and 1 can do good and 1 diminish.
It is something imo we are missing.

Too much available space for algee to grow. Once you have organisms establish and a good amount of biomass it keeps everything from swinging to much and prevents massive outbreaks
