The nuvoskim dc should be arriving on Friday and will have videos uploaded on my instagram no later then saturday.following...
I would be interested to know how the new NuvoSkim DC performs. Same goes to how it compare to Ghost. I have the Ghost Skimmer and it does alright considering. I am not really impress with nano skimmer in general but it does a somewhat alright job. I have been considering removing mine all together given the light fish load I currently have. Given there is no control on the DC pump...what's the point then I wonder?

Had a saltwater tank 5 year ago, recently got back in the hoppy with aquascaping (2 tanks). After coming across 100 vidoes on youtube about saltwater tanks i decided to give it another try and get back into the saltwater. I ordered a IM Nuvo Fusion 20 gallon on August 30th. Decided to just order the essentials first:

Set my tank up on September 13th.
I tried to cycle by ghost feeding but was taking so long decided to use Dr. Tims Ammonia. Got a light diatom bloom on my sand a couple days after. But then got a major bacteria bloom about 2 weeks ago. Waters not cloudy but just have what looks like a white film on my rocks and on the back of my tank. Going to let it keep cycling and hope it goes away. Might scrub everything off and do a major water change. I heard that water changes really dont help bacteria blooms and it would just slow down my cycle. Thoughts?
Well ill keep updating this thread through out the whole process.
First 2 are my aquascape tank that got me back into fish tanks then the bottom is my IM Nuvo Fusion 20 gallon.
