They say patience is a virtue. Apparently, I am not virtuous! The stand went together super easy.

Overall loving the tank but disappointed in a couple things. First, the tank comes with a padded mat on the bottom. It was clearly designed for the EXT model as I had to cut and scrape it away from the drains. Second, the shelf in the stand does not fit with plumbing and will need to be cut.

Had a slight setback with leaky bulkheads. Totally my fault. Addressed those. Tank is leveled and aquascaped. Ready for water!

Aquascaping looks great! Keep the updates coming. I'm on week 3 of my 75EXT cycle, so just ahead of you.

I also set up a second tank at the same time. Convinced my wife that I needed a IM 40 AIO as a quarantine tank to keep the pests out of the main tank.

Thanks! Its a hurry up and wait process. What method are you using to cycle? I went with the Dr. Tim's Ammonia and Nitrobacter Start XLM

I did the Fritz Turbo 900 and Dr. Tim's. Also threw in about 15lbs of Aussie live rock to help with the cycle and bio diversity.

So while my tank cycles, why not set up a 2nd? Wasn't planning to do anything with this tank for a while but got a steal deal on some primo Figi rock. So I scrambled yesterday and set it up. Lot of life on this rock and fortunately no die off. Waiting on some lights but this tank is pretty much ready to go. Planning on going lower budget with this set up.

Main tank is showing trace nitrite so cycle is proceeding. Forgot how boring cycling a tank is! Fortunately my side project tank is ready for life.
