So abit of back storey I’m called Josh and I’m 28 years old and for the past year I have owned a Red Sea max 250 pro (my first ever salt tank)
So I got the Red Sea max 250 1 year ago after doing a lot of welding work on a lancia beta 1983 After all the welding I did I got given the tank which at the time was filled with hair algae and 3 sea anemones over the past year iv chaged the protein skimmer to a bubble Magnus e3 and upgraded the return pumps to jecod 2500 dc and iv added a H2Ocean fluidised media reactor picture below
Iv also bought a few frags etc and all is doing fantastic
so onto the new tank
I bought a juwel rio 240 picture below (from the sellers house)
he was kind enough to run the tank and the cabinet and the rock and sand and some clean up crew to my house 8 miles away since then I have checked all the parameters and temperature etc I have also scrubbed some rocks and left some others and I have moved all my cleanup crew (snails) (hermits) over to the new tank and I have added some of my base rock (rock with no corals on) from my Red Sea tank so we are now looking like this
Day 1 (30/12/2022)
and todays progress (31/12/2021)
Which leaves me to add the I’m going to be doing a sump conversion once I have all the stuff together some things il be looking for PVC pipe + elbows + valves etc.. and a
Sump- unsure of which Togo for yet as I want a Refugium and space for my protein skimmer and any other reactors I might add I don’t really want to build my own so most likely il buy one il keep use posted if there’s any interest
happy new year to all happy reefing
