So lately I've been spending a lot of time working on this project of mine and I finally got it finished the other night! In case you didn't know, I'm a college student and just recently moved into a house so I wanted to make something for it. I came up with a table, but not just any table! Its fully equipped with 4 built in speakers, a car stereo head unit, and a slick design.
Check it out and tell me what you think! This was my first time ever really building anything completely on my own!
Start of the frame, I used 1x4's to keep the weight down.

For the legs I used 2x4's, and ended up switching the side of the frame they were on.

I was able to borrow my dads Router to give the table top a smooth finish on the edges, saved me a lot of time sanding!!
(Ignore the stupid captions, pulled some picture from snapchat)

For the speaker supports I just took leftover 1x4's cut them down an inch to 1x3 so that the board the speakers will sit in would lay flush with the bottom of the table.

Loose fit to make sure it would fit, I had to cut those holes with a jigsaw so it wasn't too pretty, but the speakers ended up fitting perfectly and looking nice. One set of speakers are 6x8, the others are 6.5".

Got the head unit in, was tricky with just a jigsaw but ended up working out. Its all powered by a computer PSU that I rewired to work on this setup and plug into a wall outlet.

Painting done, sorry for another stupid caption.

Final touch was a coat of epoxy for that bar top finish, I think it came out gorgeous!
