I cant seem to keep the blue purple color in both of My Miami Colonies they seem a bit faded the eyes look good. The rest of my Chalices are doing very well. Parameters are alk 9.1 mag 1410 calcium 425 sal 1025 temp 78 degress t-5 ati lights 4 blue plus 1 aqua blue special 1 fiji purple. The blue lights go on at 11:30 am turn off at 7 :00 pm white lights go on at 12:00 pm turn off at 4:00 pm I just recenly adjusted them I had more light time overall tank is very stable. I feed them Mysis once a week! Any ideas too much light??

Yeah I'd say too much light IMO. When I first got mine it was pretty faded as well, but the eyes still popped nicely. Into the shade it went for a few weeks, then I slowly brought it out and it recovered great. I would move it to a lower light zone and keep doing what you are doing and it should be fine.

I have mine in tons of light and get this, This picture looks kinda dull compaired to what it looks like in my tank. I move my frags over to one spot for pictures so it gets less light there meaning a darker picture. The blue is spot on just the green rim and orange eyes glow.

That looks awesome! I agree it can take a ton of light when healthy and adjusted to it.

They look healhty should I shade them??

I bought a 15 dollar nice egg crate rack from a non sponser and put it on there. Each week I moved it up 5 inches. Now I have it 6 -8 inched under the water line under a 10bulb T5. I think it can handle alot of light you just need to adjust it. I mean if yours is pale it might not have enough light. I have never put mine under low light so im not sure what It would look like. Also I run 8 blue+ and 2 fiji so my par is up there.
