Very nice tank, love the placement of color and balance, not sure if that was intentional or not, but good job! Beautiful tank!

I'd echo that, I love the large corals and filled in tank. Do you see much fighting between the corals?

Thanks. As far as chemical warfare, I haven't experienced any major problems. I'm actually surprised I'm able to grow SPS so close to the large Frogspawns and the large Toadstool, they do sting some corals if they touch. I also run carbon 24x7.

I don't have the overlap you do, but I definitely agree with running carbon. I can usually tell when its time to change mine by looking at the tank.

My bulbs are a year old, ordered some replacements today and decided to take some shots so I can do a before and after. Here are a few, I cleaned the front glass just before taking the shots so the water has some particles floating around which resulted in the pics being a bit grainy

Thanks. I received the bulbs a while ago but they were all broken. I was away on vacation so I ask them not to ship replacement bulbs until I got back. They should be shipping them out tomorrow, hopefully I get them by the end of the week.

Over the years I've always replaced my bulbs 3 at a time, this time I replaced all bulbs the same time. As expected, some of my corals started to bleach out a but but it's been about a month and things are starting to color back up. I'm running the same bulb combo as before, here's a before and after. I also recently fragged the tank and got rid of one of the clams, they were getting way too big for this tank.

Before (these bulbs were just over a year old):

After (new bulbs installed about a month ago):

Thanks. The corals are starting to get use to the new bulbs, they are coloring back up and opening up more. I'll have to get some new pics in about a month.

Looking good, is the Derasa in the second pic sitting in another clam shell or does it have a large difference in shell growth on the side?

Thanks. That deresa growth just took off, it's just one shell and it's huge now. When fully open the mantel is over 12". I got rid of my other clams because I don't have the room for them anymore.

Anthias questions

Thinking about adding some anthias to my tank (about 5). I don't know much about them but I like their colors, I know they need multiple feedings daily and I know they are not the easiest of fish to keep. Looking to add some more yellows to my tank so pinks, yellows, reds...combo colors would be great.

I feed my tank once a day but I have an auto feeder that I could use. What's the best food for them?
I have a huge 6-line wrasse that almost killed the last fish I added (a talbot damsel), should this be a concerned with anthias?
Do I have to worry about multiple males fighting?

What type would you recommend and how should I QT them?

What a beautiful tank!!!! It's so nice to see grown in colonies instead of little frag scattered everywhere. Could you tell us what you do for dosing and maintenance. Also, what pumps are you using for water flow? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Years ago I used a Ca Reactor but when I started this tank I dosed kalkwasser for a year, then I switched to 2-part and got great results...but due to lack of time, I switched back to a Ca reactor about a year and a half ago....set it and forget it. The only other supplements I've been dosing are Brightwell Mag (once a month) and Lugals (iodine) once a week. For maintenance I do a 15-20 percent WC every 4-8 weeks depending on my availability. I clean the glass with mag-floats once a week...for feeding I have an automatic pellet feeder and I feed frozen mysis once a week.
