i want to bring saw into basement soo bad rt now,to get started..just too much of a messand wont do under lights outside ,i like my fingers

I was gonna make a thread but I don’t think I’d get quick replies. My blueberry stylophora my first branching coral and one of my favorites was bleaching and I figured it was from high nitrates so I waited to move it to the twenty with new water, and now it’s peeling. Is it even save-able?

Ik it’s a crappy picture but I figured it’d give you an idea. This was yesterday it’s worse now but some bit is still holding on. I just got home from work so I’m too tired to turn my lights on and everything ;(

What’s rtn? And at work I used a whole bunch of cleaners and it got ALL over my hands... is that safe for my tank to put my hands in?

I don’t have any dip, I’ve never dipped a coral :/ and now just the very tip of one branch is on

then just take out,cut into live tissue 1/8" toss base ,try to save frags

Rtn = rapid tissue necrosis
Its when the coral very quickly loses its outer skin and polyps

There is also stn slow tissue necrosis.

I'd be carefull and make sure you wash up good before. A mild soap like dawn dish soap is good to use but make sure you rinse really well, then rinse again
