Yeah like an octocoral, it doesn’t have an internal skeleton like SPS but it’s a soft coral with a protective exoskeleton like beetles or spiders do. Very unusual.
Do they molt like a spider does? that’d be absolutely incredible!

yes it does molt,but has stony skeleton,very cool info @sfin52 ,i did not know,,for 30 yrs
