Nothing tops shedding of a Great Pyrenees nor short haired German Shepherd. First would leave a room looking like a half dozen pillows were massacred. Second gave you gloves if you so much as brushed your hand up against them lol

My neighbors have Pyrenees, but they are horribly well cared for. Makes me sad that such a majestic animal like that is kept in such poor conditions.

they’re not dogs for everyone. They need patience, land, and understanding. Amazing dogs, but like most working breeds you need to know what you’re doing

I was lucky. My mom grew up on a farm and always had dogs. My dad tried to play the macho Latin man who had no feelings...but loves dogs. I.e. complains about getting a dog and then gets absurdly cuted out when the shepherds do something my mom and I take as normal (mitzie bark-yelling at you when you stop petting her)

I’m also a big fan of papillons. Tiny but mighty. Incredibly smart, spunky, and a hilarious Napoleon complex. Had a phelene as a child (my first dog)
