Always use unions for easy maintenance! I know that much!

But what’s better slip on unions or threaded?

So far with the new setup between the ats and the roller mat, my skimmer is hardly working...

WORTH IT. I got a klir at like close to half price open box via coralvue, i was on the fence but the discount won me over

no smell so far - only 2 days in but a decent amount picked up from all the kickup in the transfer....

yep, I was all prepped for 1000 roadblocks but it was literally as easy as it sounds

Here's my previous setup I just took down.
I went with single return Y'd into 2 returns at the backside of the tank, could easily go over the top instead of through the back with the same layout.
Unions everywhere.
Never took anything apart in 2 years LOL.
So I went simple flex tube for return and hard plumbed the drains on the new tank.
