I looked at what it was a few pages back.

@Reefing_addiction what are you using the dip for?
I got lugols iodine and dipped my cup coral. Since I swapped tanks it hasn’t been happy. Had dying tissue in the center. Polyps not fully extending.

prior to this tissue issue, I had moved it up to a higher par (less than 150) and higher flow. It was when it was sitting there I noticed the the tissue problem. So I moved it back to a lower flow area. After a day or two there I noticed the tissue still had issues. So today I preformed a 15 minute dip (6 cups of water 12 drops (about of lugols) during the first 5 minutes I used a baster to blow off dead tissue and remove anything that may have been bothering it. I then transferred it to another bowl with lugols and let it sit for an additional 10 minutes.

I removed and placed back in tank without rinsing

Sounds about right for dipping. I never rinse either. What little is left is not much at all.

So after dipping the cup yesterday today it is already showing more extension then I’ve in the last few days.

how often can I preform an iodine dip?
I have done zoas daily, sps daily, and cups daily. Just use old tank water and float in sump in a Tupperware container with the lid on it. It maintains temp and the only variable is the lugols in the water.
