I promise you guys are going to freak out when magic carpet booger starts coloring up. Its about the size of sharpie tip already eating roids. Cant wait to see it in about a month or so.

27” was the largest it ever got. Depends on par. 500 par it is about 18”. 200 par was the 27”. In the frag tank, it couldn’t go up any higher on the low light side. Moved it to led/T5 side and it didn’t have to stretch out as much lol.

I was going to guess 2' I know your tanks are big and looks like takes up a nice chunk. Thats an amazing piece man. How do they propagate? Can you take foot boogers from that species like you can with other nems?

Mertens spawn and split. It has split once and the split went into a gyre. Pushed the guard off just enough to shred some tents and nuke so fish. It is all healed now me in the frag tank.
