Yes and no. Most corals will consume ammonia as a nitrogen source before it can be converted to NO3, so lots of little mouths is a good thing.
But... What about our lps and anemones? I swear the lta poops like a giant tang.

Just do what I did and get 8 for my 180 lol. I hate coralline. I am using 25-30 year old and never dry rock that has only sparse patches of it. It clogging pores on rocks has been a reason I have experience nutrient issues aka old tank syndrome, at least IMO. I added urchins, rocks got cleaned off and then nutrients dropped back to what they had always been. No other changes.
3 more might be good.... 8, not enough rock.

LPS and Nems fall into the same boat. They consume (well the zoox do) it also. So let me rephrase what I said.

Lots of mouths consuming ammonia is a good thing lol. Prevents it from becoming no3.

Never too many nems or coral. As long as there is room. Check!

I swear my anemones are net Exporters of NO3. Even with a full bio load, I still have to dose nitrates to the nems to keep it above. 10.

What do you dose for nitrate ? I’m having the same issue with my DT nitrates stay way too low despite feeding a lot and dosing ab+. I’m trying to find something cheap I can get in bulk lol

Come get the condi, and I'll send you home with enough sodium nitrate for a LONG TIME. I bought it in bulk. I've got another 9ish pounds of it.

Thats how mine turned for awhile, then slowly the green started coming back as you can see :)

Some of the acros i put in at the same time are starting to get colors. One was just blue gray now it has a bunch of spots showing up cant tell what color yet lol

Honeywell is taking my company snapper fishing tomorrow… they bought dinner tonight and paid out the wahoo for hotel rooms for us for the next 2 nights…funny thing is, I’m less than 10 minutes away from home :face-with-tears-of-joy:

they could’ve at least given us beach front rooms…
