Thanks. Good read. I guess I thought they were hybrids because of different descriptions of wholesalers. Good to know about the different species. I have not kept up on clams since mine passed. I am not getting more for my large tank at this time, so have missed newer info.

Live aquaria sells some hybrid clams from time to time, but I have never seen that label applied to clams with actual teardrop markings. Not that it matters really, but it's interesting.
