I got a great deal on a perfect tank for my master bedroom. A water box 130.4 . It is amazing. I will start photos today as it is built up. Super super excited. A great local store in Denver Colorado area called Tropical Pet Oasis found it for me and gave me a price i could not refuse.
It includes 2 new gen 5 radion xr30 blues for the lighting. It should grow any coral known to man.
All new marco rock set up for the aquascape personally by the owner of Tropical Pet Oasis.
I will let you know what other exciting features are added as we go.
Power heads , a skimmer, and other equipment additions will be added after the tank cycles.. I waited till this morning to make a video to give the tank time to clear up after the water was added . As far as corals and fish. I am a long way from those decisions.. I will be patient, And go slow to make this an amazing reef tank.. hope you like my first pics and videos and I would absolutely love any input and ideas for equipment, corals , and fish ,
Thanks all. Merry Christmas to me!!!

Well it has been almost a month. I custom made some bonsai tree looking aquascape out of marco rock . And it looks amazing I have so many amazing shelves to put corals on. I will post pictures when I get home tonight.
I added 2 green chromis. And put a few leathers from my 65 in it , (mostly because I got tired of looking at the empty tank lol)
But as promised I have been patient and have bought nothing for it. I will test the water again tomorrow and if there's no nitrates and pneumonias are down to nothing like they were yesterday then maybe on Thursday I will go get a couple of clowns for it.
I look forward to posting pictures tonight so you can see the incredible aquascape that I made.

Ok well it has been a slow process , have not done a lot except redesign the aquascape, a few small leather frags from my other tank and few green chromis. also found these great magnetic frag rocks that hold eight frags each that match the marco rock . there going to be great when i start adding corals soon, i also just received a 3' x 2' frag tank i ordered a while back , i built a stand for it and am going to pick up the sump to get it up and running this week , All in hopes of growing some amazing high end and unique corals for my tanks . i will post pictures of the aquascape with this, and make another reply to show you the frag tank

And here is the frag tank I am setting up to grow beautiful corals in for all my tanks....
And to think. This all started just six months ago with an impulse buy on a 32 bio. Lol.
I built the stand myself. Nothing fancy , but this tank is being setup in a spare room for frags . No one will see it but me for the most part. So it should suffice.

Heads up on the Tunzee mag rocks...they suck. I have a 130.4 and I put one on each side as well. They look good, but the funky angles for the plugs become an issue with flow. I would set plugs in, currents would eventually push half of them out. I moved the rocks up and down, left and right and picking up the fallen frags became a daily activity. I removed one and the other is up but empty of frags. it is only still up as an anemone has decided to make it a home.

I am actually going.to use them to grow monti on thought it might look cool. Now that I've read your post I'll likely just glue them in so they don't come out. And just let them encrust over it. I'm setting up a frag tank that holds more than 100 frags if I choose to so I really don't need them for holding frags for the most part .but I will absolutely make sure any frags I put in there that I glue them in so they don't come out , .shouldn't be too hard I don't think.

from a colorado reefer to a colorado reefer: where is your favorite store in denver for coral?
Tropical Pet Oasis . It's in Parker Colorado.
But there's a few descent ones in Denver.
Neptune's is nice.
Murmanns reef, and mile high tides. Are good.
Aqua mart. Has some really nice stuff.
But tropical pet oasis. I'd by far the best of them all.

I love aquatic art and elite reef on opposite sides of denver it just sucks having to drive down there. I got a nice sea hare from aquamart and really good deals on coral from aquatic and elite buy 3 get 1 free at $10 / buy 4 get one free at $25
