I turned “wave 2” back on about an hour ago and the new rock flower is still where I placed her. I’ll see what happens over night. Hopefully, she has planted her foot and I won’t have to go searching in the morning.

Man this has to be one of the coolest EVOs I have ever seen!
What do you have in your intank chamber basket?

Thank You so much.
Im running 2 layers of carbon infused filter pad and a 50 micron pad in the upper level, bio-balls in the middle level and ChemiPure Elite and carbon chunks in the lower level.
Chamber #2 has the hole blocked off and houses my heater and UV
Chamber #3 has a Sicce 1.0 return pump with a “spin stream” random flow outlet.
Thank You again for the complement. Means a lot!

I was just checking out your Jelly tank thread. I’d love to try that some day, always been fascinated by Jellyfish!

Second Rock Flower is on it’s way, be here tomorrow.
I have a nice little piece of LR rubble just waiting there for it to attach to (I hope).
The first RF attached quickly right where I wanted it. Hopefully, I’ll get lucky twice.

It’s a boring, rainy Sunday so I got a little creative. I made a custom mount for my cooling fan that runs off of the chiller side of the Inkbird. The fan is only needed here in the Summer months so I designed the mount so the fan is easily removable. It will stay off till the weather heats up.
I decided to suspend it from the light for a couple of reasons.
1. the fans are designed to clamp on to the tank glass which will cover it in salt creep.
2. the glass on this tank is fairly thin and I didn’t really want anything “clamped” to it.
3. any vibrations from the fan WONT resonate through the tank.

You've been busy! The RFAs are so pretty! I love TSA. They are my #1 vendor. I have several that I use including WWC and Cherry Corals (my top 3)...I have some great pieces from all of them (including a few others). I just seem to go back to TSA the most. Of course, my tank(s) are pretty full....I was doing a w/c earlier and noticed this nice little shelf though....hmmmm...what should go there?? NO STOP NOW...sorry, that's me talking to myself. ;Hilarious

Think I may have to move the Goniopora. Polyps are opening but it’s not extending the stalks. I think it needs more flow but I might give it a few more days before stressing it out with another move.
I gave it a pretty good sized feeding of Roids and Chili today and it appears to be eating fine.

Goni must have overheard me talking about moving her. Polyps are extending further today. They all open daily but have been extending more and more every day. They still have a ways to go but we’re getting there!

I think it’s time to get creative AGAIN!
I‘ve been searching (a little bit here on this forum but mostly on Google) to figure out a way to run a co2 scrubber WITHOUT a protein skimmer. I’m super happy with water quality and nutrient levels but am struggling to keep my pH above 8.0-8.2.
Too cold for my arthritic joints to have the windows open this time of year. I had the protein skimmer designed for the Evo but could never get it to perform properly. I ended up using it for target practice in the back yard before it went in the trash ( that’s what happens to random pieces of equipment that don’t cooperate with me, LOL!).
Im wondering if its possible to run an air stone into chamber #2 with a small scrubber in-line between a pump and the air stone.

Was talking to the guy at the LFS today about my Goni. She’s not fully extending after a week. We determined, after I showed him a video, that she wants more flow. The plan was to move the Goni up higher into the flow.
The only problem with that is there would be a gaping empty space where it used to live. PROBLEM SOLVED!
Pictures coming after the “newest addition “ gets used to its new home.
Best part is that my Wife bought it for me for an early Birthday gift!

New Elegance!
Its still settling in and not fully opened yet.
The entire tank is a little PO’d right now after my rearranging things.
