That is a beautiful fish. I had a Hawaiian Flame trio, but they all jumped one by one. How much did that cost ya? Where did you get it?

Thanks. Just got lucky. Went to a LFS i had never been before. As soon as i saw it i knew what it was and had to have it. First one i have seen with my own eyes. They had 2, should have grabbed the other also.

one LFS in the area got 2 pairs and I was there to see 'em both.. absolutely awesome fishes... I'm thinking of pairing my male with a female Tongan... Marcel, you think it'll work?

So pretty and it is out and about already!

I've been searching for a flame wrasse for a while but our lfs never seem to carry wrasses or if they do, they want a crazy amount of money for it....example: mystery wrasse for $300!

Thanks. Even though there are some similarities between this guy and the hooded wrasse from Vanuatu. They are quite dif(the dorsal and tail fins esp)Marvin i really dont know how a Hooded/Rosy Fin and a Tonga Flame would do. They are very similar so it could be no problem.
Anomie, just so you undertsand this is not a Hawaii flame wrasse. It is def closer to a hooded wrasse than a Hawaii flame wrasse in coloration. The Hawaii wrasse is generally referred to as the Flame wrasse.

#-o I just assumed it was a female. LOLz

Thanks for taking the time to clear that up for me. ;)

yeah i was gunna ask if it was the same as a hawaiian flame wrasse (C.jordani)
