Just set up this new Reef Octopus LR-200 Algae reactor in the sump of my Red Sea Max S500. Loaded up some Chaeto on each tier for starters.

Excited to see the results from this relatively high bioload tank I’ve got.

Looks rad. I cant seem to get my chaeto to grow in my sump. Interested to see what this looks like n a month or two.

I have one made by Skimz, and I love it. I put the light in a timer, and harvest roughly ever 30 days or so.
How clean does it keep the chaeto since it's not in a fuge collecting all the pests from the system?

Added a second toy this weekend ( the DOS), but this one I’ve had for a while and been procrastinating on the setup... stoked to see how this impacts our consistency.... pH, etc.
