As you might have noticed, I’ve already been lurking around the forums here and felt like I should actually introduce myself.

I go by Crustaceon, crusty, “hey!”, or my actual name, Nathan. I’m a reefer out of San Diego who’s been at it for the last eight years. I started with softie tanks, moved on to lps and in the last two years have gradually been moving into the sps game.

My current setup is mostly DIY except for the 100 gallon tank itself. (Note the enormous eheim heater VERY temporarily in the display, lol)

SG 1.025
Temp 78
DKH 8.3
No3 5ppm
Po4 .03ppm
Mg Idunno? I should test it more often but everytime I do it’s at or slightly above 1400ppm

Tank:

Clear4life 100 gallon acrylic

Stand:

Hand build using LOTS of 4x6’s with a maple plywood top and sides

Extra snazzy barn door up front AND a gradually corroding bottle opener!

Hand build canopy that hangs from laquer coated 1 1/4” electrical conduit on heim joints.

Lighting:

6 bulb ATI sunpower rewired to three power cords (1 per ballast and two bulbs) and cooled with three ACfinity fans
1x ATI Coral Plus
1x ATI Aquablue Special
4x Arcadia Marine Blue LED tubes

Filtration:

Eshopps EclipseL Beananimal system (1/2” full siphon, 1” adjustable gravity, 1” emergency)
Bubbles Magus nac C3.5 (tiny)
“Crusty’s special” DIY algae turf scrubber
A filter sock per week

Flow: (soon to be upgraded since my jebao wp40 power supply nearly caught fire today)

2x Sicce Voyager 4’s
2x hydor koralia’s (750 gph)
Waveline DC2500h return pump

Dosing:

Aquamaxx Ctech T-nano calcium reactor using Reborn media and zeomag
Two little fishes KW300 kalk reactor using Brightwell’s kalk + 2

Icecap ATO
