My Onyx and Picasso pair

I love the dark and light combo of an Onyx and a Picasso, so when I was given a new tank I decided to make it just for a new pair. I chose a male picasso and a female c-quest line onyx, both from Alpha corals via JCA.

I went with a Picasso with a cute helmet and a little less white. I personally like a little more orange in my clowns, I crossed my fingers he might get a nice black body eventually to match his onyx girlfriend.

One thing I did not realize was just how deep red JCA's onyx was. My previous c-quest line via rods onyx were not half as deep orange/red as this girl. Anyway ... here is my lovely pair about a month ago when I first got them. (sorry the pics are not better, it's a point and shoot. I'll one day figure out the boyfriends DSLR)

And about a month later (today) the male has gotten that muddy orange all over his front half that should turn black :bounce:
and the female has developed these cute spots on her back fins that I hope she keeps instead of going all black.

Nice pair, I love onyx n I too,have rods onyx n I also have a few onyx c-quest line n onyx w/Picasso markings , same parents as richie's (jca) n they are the way a real onyx should look ,I love onyx n these are the best I ever seen since c-quest close ,u have should I say (we) have some killer onyx

I keep going back and forth on swapping out my male for one more orange/red but I honestly don't think I'd find one as dark as the female. His orange has gotten darker anyway, they don't look like such an odd pair.

Thanks guys :) I know they are not the 'highly sought after' ones but I love them. I should have waited another week to post pics. The black is filling in really fast on the picasso. I'm kinda amazed.

I think my Onyx is getting jealous, she's really chasing him a lot now.
