Love the tank! I upgraded to an acrylic peninsula tank May if 2016. Curious what your cleaning habits are for the panels and the products you use.
I’ve gone through more cleaning products than I care to think of, but I’ll mention what works.
The large Flipper works well on my 3/4 inch acrylic. I have to keep an eye on it because once or twice it has caused a scratch, but it’s rare. It’s the best daily cleaning magnet out there.
I’m using a Tiger Shark from Algae Free for heavy duty cleaning but it’s not quite strong enough so I just ordered a Mighty Magnet. That said, it is an excellent magnet. I chose the Mighty Magnet because it comes with a scratch kit as an available option.
I also have a hand scraper and a old credit card for stubborn stuff.
For cleaning the outside, I use Brilliantize and a micro mesh cloth. Does a great job of keeping it clean and removing static.
I also keep a LifeReef scratch removal kit from BRS handy when I do happen to cause harm.
Honestly I’ve decided I really prefer acrylic. It does scratch more easily than glass, but glass also gets scratches. With acrylic, I can do something about them. I find myself buffing one out every two to three months and they’re usually minor so not a big hassle.
