Wow, its that easy huh. I've seen threads on people fragging them by cutting in half, but never knew it was just a slice and you were done. Thanks for sharing.

Yep it is so easy that this caveman can do it!

I actually fragged my Maxi Mini nems the other day but I couldn't get good pic's of the process.

I was actually surprised on how much it didn't just turn into a blob and be hard to cut. Do you have to cut the mouth longways, or does it really matter?

As long as you have some of the mouth in the nem it will more than likely be fine. I have cut them into quarters and they were fine.

Wow, that looks crazy easy. Maybe even a little too easy. Now I'll be tempted to pull out a knife and frag every nem that crosses my path

Sweet!Did your hands feel like you had a ton of needles in them the next day?Mine always have and always will, haha,it felt funny, the slime from the anemone causes it.

They are just like cutting mushrooms but you cant cut a anemone like a tree, like you would do with mushrooms, haha!

I didn't feel a thing, my hands are pretty rough, right now they are so dry they are cracked to the point that they bleed.

I have only tried BTA's and Maxi Mini's I haven't ever seen a Haddoni tried.

One thing I do that you can't see in the vid is put a drop or 2 of Iodine in the cup of water and let them sit in there for a couple of mins.

What does the Iodine do, just cleans the wounds to help it heal better? I've never used Iodine when fragging anything, does it really help?

LOL I do, working in construction dry's them out and this time of year it is especially bad.

The BTA's usually look normal within 2 to 3 weeks.

Thanks I have both them items so I'll try it out.

What is the approximate chance of fatality following said fragging procedure?

Honestly I think if you had a specimen that was already in poor health you might have a problem but if it is healthy I would only guesstimate that you might have less than a 10 percent chance of the nem dieing. I haven't had one die yet, knock on wood.

To answer the death rate question, there really isnt one IMO....I mean they can die,but if you do it the right way there are super slight chances of anything happening to the anemones.

So are there any side effects to cutting a nem in half..... Like maybe toxins being leached into the tank or something?
