Good use of a .99cent kiddie pool.

I love it. I'm a bucket and hose guy but dang it takes a long time and wastes a lot of water.

I like this setup. No need to sit with my hands in a bucket and waste all of that water.

With this, I stir it up and go do other things while it clears out. Then I stir again. Repeat until the water is clear.

Love this, but hate that its just recirculating the dirty water back into the bucket. Ill stick with a bucket and a hose

That isn't what it is doing. The water is filtering through a polishing pad.

The pump is in a basket which allows dirty water in, but not the sand. It pumps the water out and through another basket equipped with a polishing pad.

You just need to stir the water every hour and let the pump do the rest.

The water was crystal clear within a day or so.

Oh ok! I thought the sand was in the little bin. I can see now how it scrubs the dirty water over and over through the pad eventually getting cleaner and cleaner.

NGL that water looks just like my ducks pond does after 5 minute of refilling it up for them 😅
Super neat idea, thank you for sharing!

i have a similar rig running right now at home.

mine is a 27G tote from costco, two 2x6s and a 5 gallon bucket with a bulkhead and some plumbing and an old return pump to a filter sock. its slow, takes a lot of stirring. i have approx 200lbs to clean. going to be a while
