Sorry for the bad pics. I just received the tank today. I went with SCA stand was pleasantly surprised with what I got. It's solid wood and very heavy. I'm going to work on making the interior more moisture/water resistant, probably with a coat of Kilz and possibly a custom made PVC tray to catch any spills. The tank will be sitting on hardwood floors (I know, I know) and I want to do as much as I can to prevent water from reaching the floor.

The tank was as I expected, except for a wonky overflow cover (the actual overflow is made of glass), which is warped. I'm looking into options to fix that before the tank is filled.

More to follow ..[/URL]

Any updates on the build? My overflow looked just like that. Just seeing if it hindered anything.

The tank is doing well. I haven’t had any problems at all. I’m very happy with it. I’d be happy to ask answer any questions.

How are you liking your sump with the 150? Curious just trying to figure out if I go larger than the trigger sumps I've been looking at.

I wanted some room in the stand for other equipment, so I’m very happy with the Trigger sump. You could go a bit larger depending on your needs, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

How quiet is your sump? I really want to try minimizing sound as much as possible. It's the trigger 39, right? Yeah I keep on bouncing around 1 main reason is my skimmer is a bit to big for most sumps it's the super reef octopus 3000. I wanted to run the triton sump but the skimmer section is to small and the trigger 39 is the only sump that I can run it in skimmer or fuge with out going custom.

Very quiet, but that’s due to my overflow set up. I use a Herbie overflow. It’s pretty much silent.

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
