They look great! What size tank do you have them in? I"m wondering if my 75 gallon would be sufficient for some.

I have a 100.3 waterbox. I’m no expert and only recently started to really add fish (these guys just went in last night). My limited understanding says more of the concern with anthias is the ability for your system to handle the bio load they add. I have a well established system and plan to do consistent weekly water changes of 10 gallons. I’d imagine a 75 could handle anthias without much issue. I believe the concern is more horizontal space than vertical so I believe you’d be fine if you could handle the bioload they eat a lot and in turn create a lot of waste.

Thanks. I currently have a biocube 29 that I need to dose N and P to maintain detectable levels. (ammonia for N)

I think I'll welcome the higher bioload in the 75.

Craziest thing I’ve noticed and I’m by no means recommending it. When I watched closely and chased numbers my tank was okay and things lived and grew. But when I started to neglect the tank a bit where I went months between water changes and never checked parameters things really began to thrive and take off. Maybe I just got lucky or maybe there’s something to not chasing every number. I’m sure there’s a sweet spot middle ground in all of this. In any case I’m going back to a more consistent water change routine but I don’t plan to chase numbers unless something looks wrong with the life in the tank. A risk, maybe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks yea it came out pretty good and so far hasn’t tried to take over the rest of the tank.
