Well, my tank is officially 30 days old..! Happy birthday to me. :). Over the past 2 days I have been given a great birthday surprise. This ugly brownish/reddish algae that might either be a regular diatom bloom (I think) or possibly something else. I find all of this algae stuff pretty confusing tbh.

I thought I would just post pics and see what you all think.

My parameters are:
Nitrates: 2.5
Phosphates: .03
Have only used RO/DI (6 stage filter)

This is all in the last 2 days.

I did order my CUC and they should be here in a few days. Getting them from reefcleaners and this is what they suggested for my size tank (65 gallon )
27 Dwarf Cerith
11Florida Cerith
3 Mexican Turbo Snail
7 Nassarius Vibex
10 Astraea Snails
1Pom Pom Crab <--just because they are cute.

Any other suggestions? Just wait and see kind of thing? I knew this was inevitable but it doesn't make it any easier.

I tried to get some close up shots with white lights on. Is it normal to have all those bubbles?

One thing on the pom pom crabs. They carry little anemones and in newer tanks, just like other anemones, they might not survive.

Looks like normal colored rock algae for a new system. Reef cleaners is lousy. Tried them 3 times and they ship everything in wet newspaper and quite a bit is DOA. I recommend avoiding this business for cleaner crews.

Looks normal, continue the course. Will look much worse in no time lol. I had good luck with reef cleaners, my package was late and still had everything survive. Water smelt pretty rank but was expected

Looks normal part of getting mature. Takes a few weeks /months for everything to settle down and find equilibrium.
I'd raise those gyre pumps a little higher tho . You can put close to surface
