55 gal with only lights, heater and power heads. Just had its 4th 5 gal bucket water change of the year.

Due to the tank mauntains itself? Or you allow looser perameters then others and it works for you?
Yeah it’s always been a keep it simple stupid tank. I used to have a skimmer but it didn’t do anything. I just feed and top up. Water change once a quarter when the salinity is out of whack.

There is a mountain of macro algae and red flat worms in there. It’s pretty ugly compared to my previous scapes.

Not ugly at all. I just got a new 50G tank to replace my 20G....but now thinking about converting the 20G to an anemone+clownfish+anemone shrimp tank. Im finding the skimmer isn't really doing anything so also thinking of removing it. Cool to see your anemone's are doing just fine without a skimmer
