Hello my fellow Reef Addicts!

Well I'm over about 7 years in the hobby at this point, and determined that I've learned from all of my past mistakes at this point (yea right...).

This will be my
  1. 125 Gallon Used, Leaked during Water Test, found out about separating/resealing glass, resold as reptile tank.
  2. 36 Gallon Bow front Used, started off sump less, added HOB overflow and sump. Pretty successful mixed reef dosing Kalkwasser in ATO. Won Fantasy Football League, so UPGRADE.
  3. 54 Gallon Red Sea Reefer New, Pretty successful mixed reef dosing Kalkwasser in ATO. Found a steal for 220g.
  4. 220 Gallon Used, Didn't during Water Test, leaked upon setup with rock/salt/sand.
  5. 180 Gallon New, Very successful mixed reef dosing just Kalkwasser in ATO. Moved across the country.
  6. 92 Gallon Used Red Sea Reefer 450, Rushed the tank, lost most of my coral.
  7. 25 Gallon Nuvo Lagoon, Great little tank, was great until an ATO malfunction, dosing 5g of Kalkwasser ATO into tank.
  8. 220 Gallon New, In Wall, Mixed reef, great fish, but had a serious phosphate issue.
  9. 60 Gallon Cube Used, Leaked after move (was somewhat established).
  10. 20 Gallon Petco Special, bare bottom, was a great tank! Just did a water change every other week, didn't test any params.
  11. 70 Gallon Nuvo Drop off Used, had some nutrient issues, broke down due to basement being finished and the sump was in the basement.
  12. 40 Gallon Breeder, Temp tank to hold corals until new build is done, having some crazy bubble algae, nervous about moving frags with it attached to the new tank.
  13. 185 Gallon Waterbox Infinia, hopefully the last tank for a LONGGG time...
So equipment list for my Waterbox Infinia is as follows
  • 3 - Kessil AP9X's
  • 2 - Maxspect Gyre 350's
  • 2 - Ecotech MP40's
  • 1- Neptune Cor20 Return
  • 1 - Reef Octopus Skimmer
  • 1 - Reef Octopus Calcium Reactor
  • 1- Kessil Refigium Light
  • 1 - Aqua UV Steralizer
  • 1- Full Apex System
  • 1 - Waterchange System (100g fresh, 65g, saltwater)
Pics to follow soon! So far just have the stand in, as the shop didn't have enough guys to bring the aquarium down to my basement.

Oh nice. I’m looking to potentially use similar equipment for my Waterbox Reef LX 290.6. The Kessils are something we’re thinking of going with. At the moment have a single Radion G5 from a couple years ago.

But the rest of the equipment sounds interesting. Curious which reactor and skimmer you end up picking.

Are you sticking with the socks are going to swap to a roller?

Im sure he will get back to you soon. He is currently flying out on a business trip. The tank was delivered for his empty stand today not long before his flight so i bet he will be spamming this thread very soon.

I can tell you he purchased a reefmat 1200 off at least partly my praise of the 500 ive put in my tank. I have a rs reefer 200xl and love the thing even though its an incredibly tight fit. But there is certainly loads of praise around for them from the more experienced. And i honestly havent seen or cant remember seeing anything negative about them.

I went with a Reefmat, so far I love it, between the sand and rock I’d probably have had to was socks 6 times by now.

Lots of pics update, cutting out the filter sock area was the worst part about all of it, but worth it in the end.
