Mystery tang death!

Hey folks, I’d really appreciate your advice!

I came home from work today and found my tomini tang dead on the side of my tank. I was shocked to see that because she is my largest fish and seemed to be the most healthy. Last night she was bullying other fish and eating like a pig.. I have no idea what caused her to die.

All other tank mates and coral are doing great, in fact the coral are happier than usual!

Nothing was added to the tank in the past month or 2.

I have some pictures in white light and one in blue. Only thing I could see were some white patches along parts of her gull, fin, and tail fin. But they didn’t seem too bad in my opinion.. does it look like any sort of disease to you guys?

The tail and some of the body suggest signs of aggression and without actually seeing a video in advance will be a pure guess.
Did fish prior to this show distress such as elevated breathing, loss of appetite, hiding as examples?

Yes, that was not intentional, I reported it to the admins and they were gracious enough to delete the extras

Not too much, the tomini was the boss of the tank but she was fairly jumpy. I appreciate your response. I have a decent sized coral beauty.. could that have done it?

Coral beauty can be the devil. To see if the coral beauty is a problem child, next time you feed, set your cell phone on video mode for about 20 mins and drop a little food and walk away - YOU MUST walk away as they know youre there. Often the aggressor is a bully at feeding time.
Review the video and see who it may be

I think that as a glitch. It’s happened a couple of times in the past few days. I reported it.

It does look like tankmate aggression, but unless there is some hidden damage, it shouldn’t have been enough to be fatal. Sometimes, a fish’s health declines, changing dynamics between fish in a tank.
