I caught it all stretched out spewing some white stuff into the water column like one of those puff-ball mushrooms and all I could think of was "What the heck?" It's about 3/4 of an inch long when not stretched out and it actually moves pretty dern quick.

not hapnin'... I figure it's been in there long enough to get that size and I haven't lost anything important so it can't be TOO bad

Stomatella, nice hitchhiker
I use to have a ton of them but I think my 6 line finds them tasty so only the good hiders remain

great to have in a tank. Those little boogers can scoot too! lol

you know.. it's sorta funny. I see people yanking all kinds of stuff outta their tanks which would normally be found on an actual reef. I understand that in our closed system, what would normally be considered a minor nuisance on a reef could be pretty devastating to a tank but, why not just let things be and see what turns out instead of yanking it just because you don't know what it is? I actually thought it was a stomatella but since it had been a couple months since I'd seen one in there AND it's gotten so big I wasn't sure. I pulled it out of the tank just to get a picture of it and put it right back in before I even got an answer...

its a Stomatella snail and the white stuff he was spewing....well lets just say he's just trying to reproduce ;)

oh yeah haha, I have a new of them in my tank and once and a while I'll see white puffs coming from the rocks which is those guys haha, in the long run hes just feeding your coral :)
