Just sold my 3 year old 100g tank and beginning to go through equipment to sell and now not sure I want to totally get out lol. The wife will freak the F out on me but really always wanted to get another nano tank.

Looking at the fluval evo 13.5 or other AIO and wondering how people do without sumps? Can you go LPS and someday maybe SPS with AIO tanks? What about not having a skimmer? Any small tanks with sumps you think may be better choice? Don’t want to get divorce but just feel I will regret not having any tanks.

Love your tanks. I do have a kalk stirrer I haven’t sold yet lol.

I like the idea of AIO tank for little less noise and chance of flooding etc. Wife is really the wildcard as just 2 days ago she thought I was done for good lol. I had AIO IM nuvo tank years ago and just struggled with the space for equipment. Just saw someone with all equipment along back like feeshwater tanks so kind of thinking that option as well.

I’m currently rocking with a 32 gallon biocube, upgraded the pump, ai prime 16 light, uv sterilizer, intank media upgrade for optimal filtration, ice cap skimmer fits perfectly behind the first chamber. I could convert the middle chamber into a sump if necessary. Had the tank running for little over 2 months, my vision was to be an anemone tank only but already running out of space, (real Estate going to be the biggest drawback on these nanos) Wife doesn’t know it yet but I’m already looking into a bigger cube setup.

Love your tank! I recently picked up a running Biocube 32. I’m adding the skimmer and sterilizer. Where did you put the sterilizer? I still have the filter rack, but wondering if I don’t need it with a skimmer. It will be mostly LPS and maybe a few SPS.
Also, what powerheads are you running and what’s the placement?

The uv sterilizer goes in the 3rd chamber connected to the return pump.

You can go without a skimmer with water changes ( for export and easy with a 13 gallon) just make sure you have a lot of surface agitation for gas exchange. Here is my 32 gallon Biocube.

That’s an awesome tank. I’m going to do 5g a week on the changes. What lights do you have? I’m looking at an AI 32.

I’m using the stock light that came with the Biocube. I did add to 21 USA leds that were all blue, not for more par but more blue because when whites are on full my coral color kinda washes out. You should be fine doing 5g water changes, just make sure you are using ro/di water. Happy Thanksgiving, we were invited out to my brother’s who lives on Coronado island but my kids couldn’t get off work.
