I think it’s time to get back into saltwater :) I had a 20 for about 6 months and it worked wonderfully. I had a little learning curve at the beginning and then had everything sorted and even had an anemone, and multiple soft corals and euphyllias. I had to take it down though when moving. Now I want to get back into saltwater again, but I want something small that will be easy to move. I want to set up a small 5 gallon saltwater (no fish, just shrimp and corals most likely) and I know the biggest issue will be stability. I was wondering if anyone knows of any great links to nano ATOs? I’ve seen a gravity fed one on Amazon that I’m interested in and I’ve heard about DIY hamster/rabbit bottle ATO and does anyone here have any pictures/experiences with them? Also can anyone direct me to build threads featuring them? Thank you all and sorry for the long post!

Great question! I definitely agree with the importance of an ATO to help with stability in a small nano or pico tank. For my 10g IM nano tank I am currently using and #IceCap ATO with an OXO 4.5 quart container.

I currently use the AutoAqua Micro and I love it! It’s probably one of the most precise ATOs on the market.

Also a good choice! I use those on a few other tanks with good luck!
