So today I got bored today and did another water test and it's still the same color as in the first picture. I have pods swimming around and some light brown growth and I mean very little. So I don't know what's going on ito been about a week since I removed the shrimp so kinda lost. I also changed up the aqua scape what do you all think?

Nice! I prefer this 'scape, FWIW. Just as a frame of reference, I know all tanks are different, but I let my tank cycle for 21 days. It was ready before that, but I wanted to go slow/steady before adding corals/fish.

Does anyone know where I can get a koriala 240 nano locally. I've tried willimantic app, aquatics in Manchester, and another place in North providence,ri
I only buy from WetPets in Vernon CT...he can get you anything you want and has a awesome supply/selection of healthy corals and fish:)
The nice thing about buying from them is they help you every step of the way!

Looks great; awesome tank. Can't wait to follow along and see it become a reef!

Have you looked into the AI Prime? If I didn't have a designed hood, that's the light I would have .

I have 2 AI primes that I use for my tank. Light is outstanding. Lights are going to be expensive if you're gonna do it right. With AI prime you have ultimate controllability. You can have dawn and dusk effects all with the control of your phone.

I've seriously been digging my SB reef sprite. No fancy dusk and Dawn affect but it's got dimmers and two channels. Corals seem to be pretty happy too. The light was only $130 shipped btw...

Did another test tonight and the ammonia is still the same color. Any reason why it hasn't begun to fall? It's been at least 10 days.

No it is completely dead rock and regular aquarium sand.

Oh ok- then 10 days isn't that much time considering the rock and sand doesn't have beneficial bacteria, die off...etc. Give it more time. I know it sucks, but it's worth it!
