Hey Reef Peeps,

Looking for some suggestions for frozen foods that are truly nano in scope in terms of size.

I've tried some LRS nano frozen food, but I fail to see how this food is marketed as "nano". I have a Ecuadorian redheaded goby and the chunks in this food is bigger than his body size.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Any reason you prefer frozen? Just curious. I’ve got a blue and green goby, a clown goby, and a cleaner goby myself.

I used to struggle with feeding them too, but ever since I switched to Reef Nutrition TDOs, they’ve been fat and thriving. My CUC and corals also benefit from it. They’ve got different pellet sizes you can choose from too.

ive tired frozen and it was a hassle to dial in and prepare.

I used frozen Mysis, and my fish always loved going after this one! I would take the individual cubes and divide them up using a knife and some small disposable cups.

It's not that I prefer "frozen", but it seems that this means of feeding comes up a lot in discussion. I have some TDO chroma in medium and even that is too big in terms of pellet size and will likely have to go down a size.

my redhead goby (and my clown gobies) eat frozen mysis and reef frenzy shaved very small. You have to shave it very fine to get small enough pieces, don't add chunks to the tank IMO.

Even mysis is going to be too big for some of the smallest of fish that I currently have.

Other suggestions?

Haha! May have to go this route. I hope these fish appreciate the culinary prep that goes into this feeding endeavor.
