Nassarius Snails

When Nassarius snails are in quarantine, is it necessary to put a small tub of sand in the tank, similar to what I’ve seen people do with a wrasse?

Neccesary is probably a reach. They would be more comfortable as they want to dive down in it, but not necessary. It would be easier to observe their activity without the sand as well.

I have never QT snails more than a couple of days, so if the stay is short, I see no reason.
They are on my glass at night.
