Desperately need advice on what kind of UV sterilizer to treat dinoflagellates in a 90 gallon reef tank. I was looking at the jebao 36 watt on Amazon. I really don't need it to treat ick ect because I quarantine my fish. I also can't afford a really expensive system. Any advice would help. Thanks in advance

get it if you can, but read the reviews first. You can try microbacter 7 or microbacter clean. or a combination of the two. post water params and include some pics

The 36 watt size is about right. 1 watt per three gallons. Check the reviews on that jabao unit though. I have read some bad ones here. The sleeve disintegrating early. That said, a UV for dinos is a pretty temporary thing. Just remove and clean when they pass and you can get your money's worth out of it.

Run it very slow TO/FROM the display. Just hang it on the side of the tank. Slow flow. Most dinos are armored up unlike bacteria and parasites.

Which dino species do you have?
