Need advice.

I have 120 pounds of rock with 120 gallons of water in my system. I am running algea turff scrubber on reverse of my lighting. I run about 8 table spoons of carbon change every two weeks with a cup of phosgaurd in a reactor. 150 gallon skimmer. Bare bottom . It has been up and running for 7 weeks . I started rock 3 months early. I have 1 hovens wrasse, 1 one spot fox face ,7 green chromis 1 neon goby,2 clarkii clowns. 1 frag of whammin watermelon 6 heads Zoa for a reef should I stop with the fish . I still want a purple tang or a bristle tooth. I change 10 gallons of water a week . My peramiters are all good but phosphate is .56 ppm it was .76 ppm . My Zoas are fully open all day long. I know my tank is very young but I don't see any harm in stating a small zoa garden.

Zoas, in my experience, are extremely hardy. I bought about 20 zoas when I first set up my 40 breeder. I neglected a FIERCE dino outbreak for about 4 months before I finally took action. After beating the dinos, which covered every inch of the tank (including corals), the zoas are growing like crazy and are picture perfect. I say go for it.

Quick question though...which phosphate test kit are you using? That's some really high phosphate for those many export methods and only those fish on such a young tank.

After beating the dinos, which covered every inch of the tank (including corals), the zoas are growing like crazy and are picture perfect. I say go for it.

The rock was old so I think it is leaching out. But it is going down just ordered some gfo. I am still waiting 4 months before I try any sps.

Wait you're asking on advice for the fish stocking? The Hoeven's wrasse needs a sand bed. They're a Halichoeres, which bury themselves at night. I'd rehome and throw in a few fairy wrasses. They sleep in the rockwork and secrete a mucous cocoon. You can fit a few of those in. I don't think I'd add more than 3 with that many fish. What are the dimensions of the tank? You should be good to add a purple tang.
