So my next project is to create a power strip to turn on individual outlets with buttons. Does anyone have any expereince in setting something like this up? Dosent need to be the prettiest but it needs to be safe. I have a bit of electrical background but that related to radios and computer chips invented in the 90's.

I doubt you could build something for cheaper than that piece and many reefers have used these power racks without issue

Don't forget a GFCI strip outlet first, plug everything thru it.

Don't get me wrong - I'm a DIYer if at all possible/practical, but you are reinventing the wheel. As shown in a couple of the above posts - there are several very good solutions to your issue readily available.
