As the title says, I need help as I’m not sure what else to do (or if I’m even posting in the right forum, sorry mods).

So I finally joined R2R November last year because I saw this live sale. Looking at it now, it was like a joint live sale between 2 sellers here. So of course I was excited, won stuff, went over budget (as most of us do during those events), then I paid right away with PayPal.

Most of us knew some crazy freezing temperature happened in the east coast, maybe midwest as well around Dec/Jan. So when that happened and because I have a busy schedule for work, I told them I’m not in a hurry so just wait til the weather gets better because I prefer to have live corals when they arrive to my house and not be stuck in a shipping warehouse.

We stayed in touch for a couple of weeks. Then I get a message that they’re ready to ship *hooray* on February of this year (even took the day off from work). Then I didn’t get a shipping notification/tracking number. So I just pm’d them to see what happened and they said they’ll try again later in the week and they will message me. Nothing. NOTHING happened. That was February. So I tried to stay patient (because that’s what this hobby has done to us). I messaged them to see if they were fine and I messaged them to update them on my days that I’m totally free to receive my shipment. Then I thought maybe the weather has been soooo bad that MAYBE I’ll just wait a little longer and leave them alone for a bit.

I messaged them once last month (March). Then I messaged them once earlier this month. NO REPLY. Now I’m worried. So I messaged them on their email here on R2R. Still nothing.

So maybe now you see why I’m frustrated. I’m always checking on their “last activities” or “last post”. I’ve been watching every freakin day that they get on this site everyday, but no time to message me/keep me updated?! They even sold an acro pack at the end of the March! Did I not spend enough money for them to make it worth their time to ship my stuff?

So yea. What should I do now? Do I tag them here (I’m doing my best to be professional)? Or do I keep waiting? Do I deal with with them through PayPal and file a claim? I mean if something happened to my corals or their store, I think it would’ve been nice to just shoot me an email or just refund my money (could sure use that for the baby coming soon)

So tl:dr - where are my corals from 5 months ago?!?!

PS: anyone here from Buffalo ;)

That's no fun, I hope you you can get this resolved soon!

Does the vendor have a sponsor thread on the forum? Might want to make a new thread there, publicly, to get some visibility to your issue.

It sucks to have to call someone out publicly but it sounds like you've been extremely patient AND already paid them so I see nothing wrong with helping to protect other members and potential customers by asking them to help in their public forum.

And I've never been to Buffalo, but I hear it's.... Lovely this time of year? [emoji16]

If they are a sponsor here on R2R, it's time to start a thread in their sponsor forum.

Please don’t do this. If it’s a feedback thread (which this would be) please start it in the feedback forum (here) or a staff member will likely move it here. Another tip is to tag the vendor here. To tag just put the @ symbol in front of their username.

Whether it's here or there, I guess it doesn't matter as long as they are notified in public.
As reported by the op, they are here doing business, but ignoring messages about a unfulfilled order.

I agree 100% that they should be called out please do not think I don’t. I just wanted to make sure it went through the right channels to avoid any issues. Vendor forums are meant for certain things and feedback is not one of them, that’s why we have the “Vendor Feedback Forum.”

stuff like this makes me cringe and refuse to buy from a forum. I usually try to see their other seller post to see if anyone else had reported successful buys.
Reputation is everything in forum honor selling/buying

Don't know what to tell you... if a company ignores my attempts at communication, I'll call 'em out publicly, in a big hurry. Stick with honest facts, but yeah, I'd call em' out.

PS: anyone here from Buffalo ;)

Buffalo? I'm just outside of Buffalo, MO... Ok, so I'd guess you're looking for folks in Buffalo, NY, but it's worth a try :)

Thanks everyone for your feedback! I think asking here made me feel a little bit better because I’ve been frustrated and just running low on patience so I think I’ll wait til Monday before I tag them here. They’re both sponsors here, so should I tag both of them because it was their event or should I tag the one that I have been talking to?

@Saisori don't be discouraged! Before I joined here I was always checking out all these sales. So far I’ve dealt with Cherry Corals (they’re amazing) and last week with POTO (getting shipped today).

@Greybeard lol definitely Buffalo NY. I hope your weather is nice and sunny compared to the NY one lol

I would just tag the one that has your money.

I'd start with paypal as soon as possible to get that $ back in your account.

I was going to to wait til Monday but I guess I really can’t wait anymore...

Hey @TCK Corals ! Sorry but what’s going on? I really didn’t want to do this but I’m getting anxious here.

I would start a new thread with the vendors name tagged and explain your side so all the extra posts in this thread doesn't get mixed up in the fray.

@Sushitheshiba I’m a buffalo NYer and the weather this winter has definitely been the worst it’s been in years. Also the hubs through fed ex have been terrible with weather and shipping. I’ve had a number of shipments come in delayed and/or on time but bags are cold.

I think waiting/being patient until around this time of year was a little smarter on your end and the weather for us locally is supposed to start to turn. We’ve had so many weather warnings recently the weathermen actually issued a “nice weather warning” for this weekend. I understand you’re frustrated due to lack of response and I know my two LFS are going to improve on that if they run another joint live sale. I also know that one of the LFS was transitioning to a new location during the new year which may have complicated things too. I am sure the guys will be helping you out and will get things shipped out in a more successful climate.
