Need help deciding on a nano tank

Hello everyone, I am brand new to marine keeping and I need some assistance on a tank. I have done some research and came up with these two options; the Fluvo Evo 13.5 and the Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion 20. I see lots of good reviews on the Fluval and it is very popular but I found the NUVO and it looks promising but I am no expert. Thoughts?

Since 20 gallons is more manageable, I would go with the IM Fusion.

If you're on a tight budget, the Fluval kit is nice because it includes at least a rudimentary light that can grow at least some of the easier low-light corals.

If you have a little more money to spend, you'll be happier with the Innovative marine 20L, I believe. 13 gallons is very small for saltwater, especially if you want fish. You'll need to add lighting, but if that's an option I think it's the better way to go. I have about 6 IM tanks from 10-40 gallons, and I'm quite happy with all of them. You may also want to consider the IM 25 lagoon is a very nice tank.

Don't get the Fluval. Get the IM 20 or the 25. You'll be really limiting yourself if you go with the Fluval. IMO esthetics are much better with the IM. Choice of equipment options that fit the IM are significantly more improved over the Fluval.

Get the 25. It comes as a starter kit which has much of what you need for over half the Pro version. That’s the one I got for this current tank build. You can buy the prebuilt screen cover and get a media caddy and you're still saving quite a bit. And you can upgrade the cheapo return pumps at Amazon for a really good price. Get rid of the socks. I personally hate them and use floss in the media trays. This is my 25 to give you an idea of space you have to work with. I love the extra depth from front to back you get with the 25.

Like others have said get the im.
I have 4 of their systems and my 15 aio is simple to maintain.
I dose 2 part and run carbon in a bag and use floss in a cup.
You are only limited by your imagination.

I see lots at my LFS . Personally like a bowfront. Warning . I had a customer that had a Fluval just plain give out . Aside from the loss of livestock Fluval did not help him at all. I am building a new set up. The aqueon people , and the Sephora tanks are built very well . I do not know if either make Nano Tanks

I’ve been using the IM 20 for a little, and it’s amazing. Though I wish I had the space for the 25, the dimensions are great. I highly recommend innovative marine

I’m also a new reef tank owner. I bought a used Fluval 13.5 that was up and running for a couple of years. I thought it was a good idea because it was already cycled and I could start reefing immediately. I have already tripled the price with light, return pump, ATO, heater and controller, skimmer, UV light, wave pump upgrades or add ons. I have a pair of Mocha Clowns, a pair of Yellow Watchman Gobies, a pistol shrimp, maxima clam, 2 fire shrimp, anemone, a Royal Gramma and about 30 coral frags. I am very happy with the look now but everything in it is small, neat and tidy, playing nice with each other. It was nice size tank to get started but will probably be hard to keep water stability and will be very crowded quickly. I am already wishing I had a bigger tank with more water volume. I have already chosen to go with an Innovative Marine tank

Yes. The nice thing about the 25 is that it’s a lagoon style which adds front to back depth. I had a 20 briefly and it really felt small, albeit a solid IM tank. Get a 25 gallon Nuvo starter package. Then buy the things I suggested earlier (if you want) especially the prebuilt cover. That’ll set you back 300 instead of 550. You won’t be disappointed

I’m running a Radion XR15 g6 pro with 2 12 inch AI Blade Grow.

I love my IM20. Its my first AIO and I have no complaints but if you can fit a 25 I would do that.
I'd post a pic but @mowgli.reef is a tough act to follow and makes mine look pathetic lol. Well done!
