im thinking I can use an aluminum ring with 3 or 4 braces connecting it to the canopy im going to make then run the wires up with the wire from my par30. issue is ive never built anything led. I don't know much about building anything for led. what all do I need? I prefer dimmable, looking at 2-3watts per led, looking at 4-6 leds, need wide angle lens so the blues spread and mix with the lights from the par30 (might be best not to use a lens at all on the blues) and a driver.

so all I really need to order are the leds and the driver right? or is it not that simple...

Also want a potentiometer to use for dimming. Check out rapidled, or steve's led. They both carry everything you would need. I have only purchased through rapid and always have great customer service with them but never Steve's. Steve's is pretty popular so I assume they are good as well. I believe stock, their leds are a 120 spread. For the deeper blue use royal blue with a couple ultraviolet.
