Need help with angel fish!

Give each fish about 100g per fish. Yes, it will most likely be 1 male out of all the Genicathus specimens.

is that not a bit conservative? I see trios often in tanks smaller than 300 gallons. This 8x2x2 tank could only hold 2 genicathus?

It's a tank of peaceful species. Adding to many fish that will be jockeying for position in a tank is not good for the other inhabitants. Genicathus also are quite active and get pretty big. An 8x2x2 should handle 3.
