My fairy wrasse has been acting a little off, but today he started swimming like he was drunk, missing the food. Them he started bouncing on his tail like it was a pogo stick, keeping it collapsed. I can't tell if there is any injury, but he'll swim up, then fall break down, lay there, them try bouncing again.
What is going on? There's nothing else I can see on him. Help please

Hi, Kfishy - and welcome aboard!

That's a moderately common (too common!) problem with flasher and fairy wrasses. From all anyone can tell, it's neurological, and seems to affect the spinal cord. Some feel that it's from running into the glass - but they never seem to have faces that look like "E.T." . . .

@Jay Hemdal is our resident disease and illness expert, and might be able to offer more advice.

As far as I'm aware, the only treatments are quiet, prayer and hope.

Hi folks,

I already answered the thread over in the meet and greet forum. I think it might be that neurological issue we see in these wrasse....
