Hello everybody,
I have a pair of black onyx percula clown fish, the female is becoming very territorial and has taken a huge chunk out of my borbonius's tail! I can't get to a LFS today to trade them in and I have no place to put them until then. I have a large plastic strainer and was just wondering if I could put the clownfish in the strainer, in the tank. The strainer is made of number 5 recyclable material and is dishwasher safe. Does anybody know if this is reef safe, or have any other ideas for separating the clowns from the rest of the tank?
P.S I do not have enough room in my sump
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

As long as water can circulate through the strainer, it should be fine. Our first fish acclimation box was a diy made out of a #5 plastic Gladware container.
