Hello, everyone. So glad to be here with you beautiful human.
Recently I want to have a Flow Pump of Maxspect for my tank. And I've seen people recommend Jump Series Gyre pump. However, I want to know more about why you choose this one or what aspect of this product do you think is the most attractive factor for you to buy and is there anything bad about it?
Thank you in advance!

Hey Nicole and welcome to r2r!

There are 2 reasons to choose Maxpect Gyres in general:
1. Maxpect is a well known, high quality manufacturer.
2. This form factor allows a wider angle of water movement than others, creating the "gyre" pattern. This essentially creates a wide wave movement across the width of the tank.

Disadvantages of these pumps are usually the fact that they are very strong, and could easily be too much to handle for some tank sizes. There is also a rumor that the movement of the water created by the gyres also weaken the adherence of glass walls, however I'm yet to see any facts to back it up.

There are also multiple other companies that produce pumps in this form factor, like the Red Sea ReefWaves (officially licensed tech from Maxspect), IceCap and Jebao.
