Currently buying things for my next build, mostly used things to keep cost down!

So far I have a CSC 450 (Skimz monster Kone 254) skimmer
3 air hydra 52 HD lights
250 lbs of love rock being stored in brute cans
2 coral box qp9 pumps.

I have a line on a 180 gallon tank, and stand for $300 , it’s rimless and reef ready with a sump. (Pics included)

When looking threw the members aquarium section, I don’t see many 180 gallon tanks with that “wow factor”...

My plan is sps dominate, medium/heavy fish bioload.

Would I be better off waiting to get a bigger tank, say 72x30x30? If not show me some amazing 180 gallon sps tanks!

Here’s a photo of the tank , the canopy wouldn’t be used.

Those qp 9 pumps have a loud whine. I know they are marketed as quiet but the are far from it. I have them and they annoy me to no end.
Also if you do like them enough, I’m not sure if you used them or if they re new, petsandponds has them for 99$. Incase you wanna add a 3rd They are located near Windsor ont

I already had these from a previous build, and I agree they are loud. That’s why I’m going to the maxspec gyre xf350 or VorTech.

I’m also aiming for as much flow as possible in this tank. Once I decide on a tank to go with. Lol

I think you could build an amazing sps reef with most any size tank. That 180 with sump and stand is a steal at $300. Assuming it all holds water.....

That’s another worry I have, he says it holds water and he tore the tank down a month ago.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
