I have just cycled my new 30 Gallon. All my parameters are looking good I am planning on adding one fish a week until the 60 day mark and then adding some corals. Is there anything I should think about changing or adding? What are corals you would recommend for a beginner?

Here is my list so far:

Already in:
One Clown
One turbo snail
Two astrea snails

Plan to add:
One midas blenny
One more clown (Smaller than current)
One 6 line wrasse

Maybe 2 more cleanup crew In a while (turbo and astreas are mowing down what's in there and I am supplementing with Nori now, handfeeding the Turbo.)

Corals:
Plan on adding the green star polyps and pulsing xenia

Sounds like you are taking things slow and have a solid plan, nice work!

Six lines can be jerks so watch out for that.

Good to know about the six line, it's small with a lot of good color so I was drawn to that initially. Seemed like the agile swimming style would add a good mix to the tank as I learned the clowns can be a bit lazy. My clown hugs his area of the tank, surfing the wavemaker, and when the lights go off - like clockwork he's back to his corner where I can't see him.

I have read I shouldn't add anemones until a long way down the road. And even then the bubble tip one will get too big for the 30.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
