As I type this my tank is in Cincinnati Ohio.

I'm currently in Destin FL, 750 miles away for 2 weeks.

Feeding system: Eheim Auto Feeder loaded with New Spectrum pellets..... plus my daughters BF coming over once a day to feed two cubes of Mysis

Monitoring Control System: Apex Lite controlling skimmer, pumps, heaters, flow, light, ATO, everything. I can monitor and make changes on-the-fly at any time.

Camera system: a group of Wyze cube cameras at $25 a camera. Two on DT. Two on sump fishroom.

Fishroom "eye in the sky" looking down from ceiling mount:

One of the best features is a sensitive speaker to listen for sounds and a two-way talk button. Great for giving instructions to a person standing in the room as the camera has a Speaker you talk thru:

I've been sitting on the Beach enjoying the SaltyLife, watching my tank and interacting with R2R whenever

I run the outdoor cams around the house. Mine are a year or two old, they are the XT2 models.

Blink is what I use. Have them inside and outside of our home after a neighbor decided to start making visits while my wife and I were working last year. I can set them up to alert me or just go to the app and see whats going on. I can talk over the cameras too and thats been really helpful with delivery drivers.

Wyze cams all the way! Have infrad night vision to monitor fish rooms at night, motion detection. Mine even detects fish movement and notifies me when a fish swims by the camera.... Lots of features and cheap. The pan cam allows for rotating the camera with your phone so you can look around the room. I have one on the front of my display and in my fish room monitoring the top off sensors and sump. It's helped me detect when my top off didn't work right while I was away. Things like that.

Thank you so much it was very helpful, my question is do you have to have a controller like Apex to be able to use remotely or just buying the camera it should work?

You don't need it to hook up to your Apex or controller. The Wyze app, and Blink allow you to zoom in on the camera which you would loose connecting it to a controller.

Are the Wyze cams wireless?
Their website doesn't seem to say one way or the other.

I use an old Nest Pro... That way I can allow others to view... and it works in Apex.

Indoor Ring cam here. Since I already have the Ring System for my doorbell, floodlight cam above the garage, and flood light cam in the back of the house I just kept it simple and went with the same system as I was already paying for 3 cameras at $90/yr adding the 4th camera maxed me out on the $100/yr subscription max. I need to check out the Wyze cams though, I have quite a few Wyze smart plugs in my house.

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
