hello reefers,
need your help here. the barb on this pipe broke off (see red circle) and there is no way to attach the air tube without it. the skimmer is discontinued and i am not able to buy a replacement part. the pipe and pump cover are cemented on and I am unable to remove them unless i cut them out. any thoughts on how you would fix this? ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I would probably get a vacuum connector from auto parts and glue or epoxy it in.

If you have the piece that broke off, use epoxy and glue it back in. Otherwise, pick up whatever size tubing connector you need and cut/file/drill to fit the hole and epoxy in. FYI, since it's sucking air in, there is not need for it to be barbed. Might be able to find what you need at HD.

These folks hit what I would try. After gluing/epoxying and allowing it to dry, I'd grab a drill bit that fits the hole and manually clear it out. Just insert the bit and spin it with your fingers. That'll work fine unless you had a lot of excess squeeze out.
